WB6 General Manager Lorraine Yates to present at the Marinas19 Conference.
The Marinas19 International Conference & Trade Exhibition will be held on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th May at the Sea World Resort Conference Centre on Queensland’s Gold Coast. Marinas19 will bring together 300 – 400 participants comprising the region’s leading marina and club operators, owners and vendors along with related government agency representatives.
The event will showcase innovations in new marina and boatyard products and services and tackle some of the big issues and opportunities through presentations and interactive sessions.
Presentations, panels and workshops will include future economic, social and leisure trends, future design and options for maximising marina assets, maintenance and marketing, standards; accreditation and benchmarking, risk mitigation, sessions, waterways issues and opportunities, environmental leadership.
The trade exhibition will provide delegates with the most cost effective way to meet face to face with 30+ vendors showcasing the latest products and services specifically for marinas including clubs, boat yards and dry stacks.
Growing up in Sydney, Lorraine studied at the University of NSW before moving to Canberra to master her skills as consultant project manager and senior policy advisor with both the Australian and NSW Governments in the health and education sectors.
Strong ties to Sydney’s working harbour eventually drew her back where she founded and operated well known commercial fleet H2O Taxis for ten years. She is the co-owner of the successfully campaigned Sparkman and Stephens classic racing yacht Komatsu Azzurro, a story becoming legendary in ocean racing circles.
