Travelift operator

White Bay 6 Marine Park is Sydney’s premier, family owned and operated business with over 17 years’ experience servicing the needs of the Sydney boating public. We are the home of Sydney Harbour Boat Storage, Australia’s most awarded Marina Industries Association Dry Stack Facility.

Located in the heart of Sydney Harbour, we are Sydney’s only totally integrated marine precinct, offering a range of services including servicing, maintenance, fuel facilities and dry stack boat storage.

We are inviting suitably qualified candidates to join our small, friendly team to perform the role of straddle-carrier/Travelift operator.

Job Description:

• Straddle-carrier operations and general maintenance
• Boatyard duties may including antifoul and propeller treatment application from time to time
• General yard and grounds cleaning and maintenance

Requirements

• Experience in operating up to 63T Travelift/straddle-carrier with demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards and excellent safety track-record
• Demonstrated high level commitment to Work Health and Safety
• Demonstrated self-starter and ability to work well in a team environment
• Excellent pro-active work ethic and flexible attitude
• Forklift license
• Recreational boat license an advantage
• Excellent remuneration package available for the right person.

General hand required for busy, award winning boat maintenance/service yard and dry stack storage facility, located on the waterfront in Balmain NSW.

• Training provided for the right candidate.
• You will be required to work in a team to clean and prepare boat hulls, paint protective coatings including antifoul paint and propeller treatment.
• Must have a great attitude to work, be hardworking and reliable.
• A commitment to safety and high quality work is essential.
• Monday to Friday. Part time considered.
