Storage Manager/Marine Forklift Operator
White Bay 6 Marine Park is Sydney’s premier, family owned and operated business with over 17 years’ experience servicing the needs of the Sydney boating public. We are the home of Sydney Harbour Boat Storage, Australia’s most awarded Marina Industries Association Dry Stack Facility.
Located in the heart of Sydney Harbour, we are Sydney’s only totally integrated marine precinct, offering a range of services including servicing, maintenance, fuel facilities and dry stack boat storage.
We are inviting suitably qualified candidates to join our small team to perform the role of Storage (Dry Stack) Manager. This person will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of the dry stack operation, including operation of marina forklift, training and supervision of staff, development of rosters, quality standards and supervising and overseeing performance of staff involved in vessel service.
The role includes overseeing the safe day to day storage operation including:
- Working closely with the management team to maintain site standards, identify opportunities for improvement and implementation.
- Boat launches and retrievals, boat to truck movements.
- Maintaining the launch schedule to strict deadlines with quality outcomes
- Supervision of staff, development of work rosters
- Maintaining appropriate staffing levels, including assisting with recruitment, and driving efficiency and productivity
- Providing training in technical procedures and safe practice in line with WB6 procedures and Work Health and Safety standards.
- Assisting with the maintenance schedule of site assets
- Setting, overseeing and assessing site cleaning and maintenance quality standards
- Provide excellent customer service, communicating with stakeholders including customers, key staff and management
- Record keeping including quality assurance.
- You will also work closely with our Service Team to providing additional resources and support as needs arise.

Requirements
- Marina forklift experience with a demonstrated excellent safety and quality record.
- Demonstrated commitment to Work Health and Safety
- Demonstrated experience in supervising staff and driving performance
- Good computer literacy and communication skills
- Relationship management skills to build effective relationships with key stakeholders including customers and colleagues.
- You will need to be a strong leader who will be a respected role model for our team of valued employees
- Recreational boat license
- Excellent work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment is essential.
Straddle-carrier experience and advantage
Travelift operator

We are inviting suitably qualified candidates to join our small, friendly team to perform the role of straddle-carrier/Travelift operator.
Job Description:
- Straddle-carrier operations and general maintenance
- Boatyard duties may including antifoul and propeller treatment application from time to time
- General yard and grounds cleaning and maintenance
Requirements
- Experience in operating up to 63T Travelift/straddle-carrier with demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards and excellent safety track-record
- Demonstrated high level commitment to Work Health and Safety
- Demonstrated self-starter and ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent pro-active work ethic and flexible attitude
- Forklift license
- Recreational boat license an advantage
- Excellent remuneration package available for the right person.
General hand required for busy, award winning boat maintenance/service yard and dry stack storage facility, located on the waterfront in Balmain NSW.
- Training provided for the right candidate.
- You will be required to work in a team to clean and prepare boat hulls, paint protective coatings including antifoul paint and propeller treatment.
- Must have a great attitude to work, be hardworking and reliable.
- A commitment to safety and high quality work is essential.
- Monday to Friday. Part time considered.
