Located in the heart of Sydney Harbour, White Bay 6 is Sydney’s only fully integrated marine precinct. From dry stack storage to fuel facilities, servicing and maintenance, the site supports thousands of boaters each year and plays a vital role in keeping Sydney Harbour moving.
As part of our continued growth, we are inviting applications for the role of Storage (Dry Stack) Manager to join our close-knit, experienced team.
About the Role
The Storage (Dry Stack) Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the dry stack facility, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes for both customers and staff. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines operational oversight, people management and customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the management team to maintain site standards, identify opportunities for improvement and implementation.
- Boat launches and retrievals, boat to truck movements.
- Maintaining the launch schedule to strict deadlines with quality outcomes
- Supervision of staff, development of work rosters
- Maintaining appropriate staffing levels, including assisting with recruitment, and driving efficiency and productivity
- Providing training in technical procedures and safe practice in line with WB6 procedures and Work Health and Safety standards.
- Assisting with the maintenance schedule of site assets
- Setting, overseeing and assessing site cleaning and maintenance quality standards
- Provide excellent customer service, communicating with stakeholders including customers, key staff and management
- Record keeping including quality assurance.
- You will also work closely with our Service Team to providing additional resources and support as needs arise.
Some weekend work is required as part of this role.
About You
To succeed in this position, you will be a confident leader with a strong safety mindset and proven experience in marine or similar operational environments. You will bring:
- Marina forklift experience (or equivalent) with an excellent safety and quality record
- A demonstrated commitment to Work Health and Safety
- Experience supervising staff and driving performance
- Strong communication skills and good computer literacy
- The ability to build effective relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
- A recreational boat licence
- A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a team environment
Straddle-carrier experience is an advantage but not essential.
